hi, i just completed another successful swap with Trêvoid on SimpleX. It was my first time using SimpleX, and the whole swap process was super quick. I got my 1.92 XMR without any issues. Good service.
This Trevoid is a relatively new service. It is not a company, instead it is a person ‘pretending’ to be serious service. However, as it only perform swaps via SimpleX, if you get stolen, there is no way to complain to anyone. In fact, this service is about two months old, as it seems, and they have been listed only a few days ago on KYCnot.me, which is very worrisome. I’m not saying this is the case, but usually when there is a scam, people pretend to be a company, swapping correctly small amounts, only to vanish when there is a big swap in place. Also, as this person claims to swap any type of funds, this raises the question, of what type of funds they are delivering. I ask members of this community to be extra careful when interacting with this service. Also, another bad factor is that this person is manipulating KYCnot.me’s comment section by placing a bad review on almost every other service. I won’t leave a 1 star review because as Pluja has said on this page, it makes no sense to do so if you did not use directly the service, but I can recommend people to be extra careful.
Hi, I understand your concern, and you’re right to bring it up. We tested this service several times with random SimpleX profiles at different times without any issues, which is why it was approved. It has the “New Service” warning and is also not verified.
We approved the service because there is a clear lack of legitimate, non-scam zero-KYC options, which is what many of users are looking for. We were cautious before approving it, we tested it multiple times and contacted the admin. The service also has a thread on BitcoinTalk. We are always on the lookout, and for now, both the service and the admin seem legit. However, the “New Service” warning will stay on, and it won’t get verified until it has an established, positive track record.
As for the fact that this is an individual with no formal recourse, that’s true. But this applies to most zero-KYC exchanges, since many are not registered companies or are in jurisdictions where a complaint would be difficult to pursue. The risk of exit-scam I think is the same. In that sense, I think there isn’t much difference. Maybe with a 1 to 1 chat, I assume users would be more cautious, since a web platform may give a false sense of security. However, that is just my opinion.
About the reviews, I mentioned on another comment, but according to them, the volume of reviews comes from a BitcoinTalk review campaign they launched, as well as sharing the review link with users in their trades. However, we cannot 100% verify the authenticity of comments on BitcoinTalk or those posted here (this is a challenge that any review platform faces).

Hi. The listings that are ‘Community Contributed’ simply mean that have been contributed by community members and have not been reviewed yet. So you should use them with caution. You can get more feedback from user reviews if they have, the attributes, and doing your own research. The listings have a KYC Score, you can see it on any service, that score tells you the risk of KYC, along with many attributes and an overall score. We just review services and give them score and attributes so you can make informed decisions when using them. FixedFloat has a 5/10 score, and is marked as ‘Shotgun KYC’ which means that they randomly ask for KYC to users.
