Misleading VPS specs and no refund after 20 minutes
I bought a VPS from SwissRdp because their plan clearly stated 10 Gbps uplink and unlimited bandwidth.
After purchase, the VPS did not match these specs. Speedtest showed only about 280 Mbps, and their own dashboard showed a 3 TB traffic limit, even though the plan says âunlimited bandwidthâ.
The IP geolocation was also unsuitable for my needs: the server was supposed to be in the Netherlands, but MaxMind showed the IP as United Arab Emirates. The IP was also blocked in Russia.
I requested a refund about 20 minutes after purchase, before actually using the server. Support refused and replied that âno one can give raw 10 Gbps port to a $20 VPSâ and that I should buy a dedicated server if I need high speed.
That is exactly the problem: if they know they cannot provide anything close to 10 Gbps, they should not list 10 Gbps uplink in the VPS plan.
Evidence:
- Plan showing 10 Gbps and unlimited bandwidth: https://ibb.co/VWP6jtp1
- Dashboard showing 3 TB traffic limit: https://ibb.co/vxYhS8Rq
- MaxMind showing UAE: https://check-host.net/ip-info?host=217.60.195.242
- Speedtest report: https://www.speedtest.net/result/c/88ef90ba-06e6-4efa-ad5b-d1c054f91eeb
I would not recommend this provider if you expect the VPS to match the specs listed in their own plans or expect a reasonable refund policy.
Technically, an "uplink port" refers to the port on a switch that connects to the upper-level network (core). The port to which the server is connected is called an access port. Therefore, the term âuplink port speedâ is not technically accurate; uplink indicates the role of the port, it does not directly define the actual port speed provided to the server. However, in the rules section, it is clearly stated that we apply a fair usage policy.
This is a scam. I tried to buy a cheap domain and when I wrote to them on Telegram because it was taking long to get the domain activated, they âcheckedâ and said that the domain that I bought was a premium domain and canât be bought for $4. Then they said that if I didnât choose another domain I could get a refund to my payment account, which I didnât want.
I asked them to send it to my address and they said, âOk send BSC20 USDT.â I was like, âWTF,â and I just told them to send it to this wallet. They said, âNo sorry.â After I said I canât buy anything with that amount, they replied, âOk we will send here (my crypto wallet address).â
Added context: The user has given proof about the telegram chat with swissrdp support. All stated is proven by these screenshots.
You thought you could exploit a glitch in our system and register a $500 premium domain for just $4. We caught the vulnerability, closed it, and already refunded your money. Now you're crying like a little kid, demanding we send it to your address, then asking for BSC20 USDT, then changing your story again. Whatâs wrong? Mad that your little scam didnât work? đ Stop whining. You got your refund. Take the L and move on.
Im using their service on my projects. They are providing best bulletproof service in this market.
