Terms of Service Review
CypherGoat is a non-custodial crypto swap aggregator. It does not process transactions or perform KYC checks itself. It merely connects users to third-party exchanges, some of which may require KYC based on transaction monitoring.
Third-Party KYC Risk
While CypherGoat doesn’t do KYC, partnered exchanges may request KYC if they suspect illegal activity. CypherGoat provides a risk ranking system for each exchange regarding KYC likelihood.
No Loss Responsibility
CypherGoat bears no responsibility for any loss of funds or investments incurred from using its service or engaging with third-party providers.
No Custody
CypherGoat never takes custody of your funds, ensuring your assets remain under your control. This enhances self-sovereignty.
User Responsibility
Users are solely responsible for understanding and accepting the terms, privacy policies, and risks associated with third-party providers before proceeding with a transaction.

Very Fast.Took less than 2 minutes!!.never had that
Nice, never had KYC issues with them
I have used cyphergoat a couple of times and have had no issues. They also have a couple more exchanges than other aggregators.
Good exchanger. Relatively fast and low fee too
Why do you guys have almost the same writing on your footer as intercambio.app (which is from Majesticbank)? Was that deliberate, you guys copied it, or are the devs the same? Is it the same team? Anyway another question, I looked your Whois and it seems you are making use of Cloudfare DNS services. Why don’t you guys dump it? I mean, there should be better alternatives out there, and I hope that if you want to protect your customers privacy, dumping CF is a good idea.

As of June 5th 2025, we are now cloudflare free!
Related announcement https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/1ltoxgt/cyphergoat_monthly_june_2025_bye_bye_cloudflare/

Hi,
I can’t really seem to be able to pinpoint the similarity you are referring to. I can assure you that we have no other ties to majestic bank other than having them on as a partnered exchange.
About cloudflare we have been getting DDoS’ed quite consistently lately (related announcement https://nitter.net/cyphergoatcom/status/1933189799218667714) .We are currently not aware on any better privacy friendly alternatives, except for DDoS Guard, which is russian and has potential data sovereignty issues. Rest assured that we are actively looking for alternatives
If you don’t want to use cloudflare, cyphergoat is available on both tor and i2p
I am an security consultant and private investigator and his company is clearly breaking their own partner’s terms of service by making them available on darknet. I’m pretty sure ChangeNow, Simpleswap and other companies are not aware and did not endorse this company offering them through darknet. This brings my attention to the fact that if they are lying to their own partners, who won’t be able to correctly perform due diligence and comply with AML regulations in place, they are being completely irresponsible, and this will end pretty badly not only for their partners, but for these cowboys as well.

Just a head up, as of two weeks ago we have started limiting certain exchanges from working over tor/i2p.

Thank you for the constructive feedback though!
This service once promised no-KYC on swaps when they launched (which was a lie) but they quickly had to retract that and edit their Terms of Service, check https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/1jcpkv5/why_no_kyc_is_the_only_way_for_crypto/ ; They also claim to be open-source, but that means nothing, since it’s just the frontend;
Nobody knows who these guys are, they are a relatively new service and they are not connected to anyone known from the community, so don’t trade large amounts in one go. They have also spammed the Monero subreddit so far. I would wait for their service to mature or for more reviews from real users, before using it.

Hi, I am 4rkal, the creator of cyphergoat. I have been part of the monero community for more than 2 years now and have built numerous side projects before cyphergoat. I have built MoneroOS which got quite some publicity https://github.com/4rkal/MoneroOS (was also featured on monerotalk) and have written a couple of monero related articles on my blog https://4rkal.com/tags/crypto, which have been featured on major monero related outlets.
About cyphergoat, yes the exchange is relatively new, however it has existed for more than a year now as a discord bot. Also as an aggregator we never have access to users funds. All funds are directly sent to specific partnered exchange. You can click on the specific exchange link and continue your trade there, don’t trust; verify
Valid concerns though!
not completely no-kyc service, according to their terms some exchanges may require it to comply with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, which can be potential risk to freeze funds. be aware!
CypherGoat is great. It’s fast, easy to use and has an onion address. I have swapped a significant amount of monero through them
W swap, very fast and surprising low fees even for eth :)
Thank you for the feedback!
