Been using JMP.chat for a year, so far so good despite not being straightforward to use. The pros: - No overzealous KYC / PII collection. All I needed was my credit card number, not even a name. - Good choice of vanity numbers, even better if you look often because the best ones don't stay around forever. - Solid uptime, never went down to a point I had any issues. - Good experience for texting (seems to be their main focus) - Number port-in is easy The cons: - FOSS dev "hammer without handle" UX problem : The UX isn't great, someone that isn't tech literate and not familiar with XMPP will have a harder time getting things going. - eSIM : Your IP gets routed through Poland, which adds a lot of latency. Steep price if you ever need more bandwidth. - Cost: Not the cheapest VoIP service out there. If you need multiple numbers the cost adds up fast.
