Terms of Service Review
Haveno is a non-KYC, P2P, decentralized exchange for Monero, forked from Bisq but with enhanced privacy, lower fees, and faster trades. It uses 2/3 multisignature for trades, with arbitrators for dispute resolution.
No KYC Policy
Haveno explicitly states there will never be KYC (No. Haveno was created out of the desire to provide people a peer to peer and decentralized way to exchange Monero for fiat currency. Haveno is and will always be non-KYC
).
Decentralized & P2P
The platform operates as a P2P network without a central server, enhancing censorship resistance.
Non-Custodial
Users retain total control of their wallet (Being non custodial. The user has the total control of their wallet
). Arbitrators never have custody of trade funds.
Privacy Focus
Haveno aims to provide strong privacy, differentiating itself from Bisq by being based on Monero and explicitly addressing privacy concerns like transaction traceability and potential deanonymization.
No Token / DAO
Unlike Bisq, Haveno will not implement a token or a DAO, aiming to avoid associated privacy concerns and complexities.
Payment Methods
Haveno plans to support payment methods that don’t require bank accounts, such as “Cash in person” and “Cash by mail”, further enhancing privacy and accessibility.
Trade Protocol
Uses a 2/3 multisignature protocol for trades, where funds require two out of three keys to move. Arbitrators hold the third key for dispute resolution.
Arbitrator Role
Arbitrators act as the final step in conflict resolution and can release funds in disputes, but they never have custody of trade funds.

Almost all trades are USD pay by mail. Not quite useful in non-USD countries.
Very very high percentage you have to pay too vs using an exchange like tradeogre. I contemplated this until I saw those. Always changing so you have to check back. I wanted to setup some trades there but have to lock away a good amount weird ways.
This listing for Haveno should be removed as it is just the software project, not a live network and you can’t actually trade on it. It’s confusing when you see the good rating here and then end up downloading the client that only connects to the testnet.
